Friday's Fabulous Woman: Lee Miller

An American model, photographer, muse to Man Ray, friend to Jean Cocteau and lover of Picasso, Lee Miller was a fabulously beautiful woman who lived a creative and passionate life.  She grew up in New York before heading for Paris.  When she tired of life there, she married an Egyptian and spent years photographing life and pyramids in Cairo.  When WWII broke out, she moved to London and became a wartime correspondent and photographer for British Vogue.  And that is the highly edited version of a fascinating life that includes bathing in Hitler's secret apartments (she was one of the first reporters to arrive there at the end of the war).  There is a great article in the New York Times.
